This wine was born after a period of experimentation on “Calabrese”, ancient and native grapes of Southern Calabria. It is witness of our attitude to discover and enhance our regional ampelographic heritage. A gift to our land and its people.
Grapes variety: Calabrese (100%). Alcohol: 14% by vol.
Production technique: the grapes, hand harvested in the beginning of October, undergo a long maceration on the skins. After just 7 months in stainless steel tanks, we bottle the wine, preserving intact the original grapes’ fruitiness.
Characteristics: dark red in color with bright purple hues, a wine with complex aromas of red fruits, black cherries, plums and black pepper. The taste is fresh, pulpy and solar with very smooth and caressing tannins.
Suggestions: ideal with all the tasty and typical Mediterranean dishes. Ideal serving temperature: 18° C (65° F).
